2025 Tender is the Night Melville Season

WA boutique concert series Tender is the Night returns for a fifth season in 2025 with their most ambitious lineup yet. Bringing together classical and contemporary music for a truly unique performance, these must-see concerts feature artists hearing their songs reimagined by a string quartet for the first time as they play alongside them. Held in stunning venues around the City of Melville, Tender is the Night is set to deliver another spinetingling, goosebump-inducing concert series that unites artist and audience as one.

Opening this year’s series is international artist Grace Woodroofe and emerging star of 2024’s The Voice, Queency. This March 9 concert will be under the stars at Goolugatup Heathcote, overlooking the Derbarl Yerrigan.

May 31 features songwriting legend Vikki Thorn of The Waifs, Thornbird and The Red Tails, and incredible Noongar artist Maatakitj at the refurbished Melville Main Hall.

Folk electronic sorceress Felicity Groom and musical chameleon Benjamin Witt (The Chemist, Romeo Walker) will perform on August 31 at the art deco Tivoli Theatre in Applecross.

And closing out the season is enigmatic Peter Bibby, supported by one of Perth’s hottest acts, Smol Fish, for another Goolugatup Heathcote sunset on November 30.

This talented line-up is backed by the superb sounds of the Tender Strings Quartet, with arrangements by emerging West Australian composers including Aaron Wyatt, Laurissa Brooke, and Simon Kruit.

Tender is the Night is for all music lovers – young, old, and young at heart. Enjoy the once-in-a-lifetime performances of some of WA’s best artists in the relaxed picnic vibe that Tender is the Night is known for. Bring your rug, cheeseboard, and cushions and kick back for an unforgettable evening of inspiring songwriting, memorable music, and community connection.  Supported by the City of Melville and the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.
